This series of videos, featuring the creation of the Moon Boot Icon in Marble and Bronze, has been interpreted by different artists, a combination of Italian artisans and 3D designers.

We are proud of the heritage of both our local artisans and the eternal design behind the Icon.

Made in precious Paonazzo marble and carved out from the quarry in the mountains above Carrara. The carving was done with a high tech 3D-robot and subsequently hand sculpted to create the Moon Boot logo and sole.

The laces are handmade in real tuscan leather. The sculpture weighs 120kg and currently resides in the Moon Boot offices.

The plaster mould is retrieved by emerging the actual Moon Boot Icon in a wooden cage filled with wax. Every little detail has been reproduced including the Logo and the strings.

The liquid metal has been poured into the mould and through the heat of fire.

After the liquid metal has been poured into the mould and through the heat of fire, specific acids were used to galvanize the sculpture into a black patina.
